Disney’s Perfectly Princess Tea Party - Disney's Grand Floridian (Has Not Returned)

The Perfectly Princess Tea is one of my favorite dining experiences! From beginning to end, it is one of the most magical character meals for any little princess.

All the Princesses

Upon arrival, we checked in at the stand in front of the Garden Tea Room at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. My daughter was presented with a place card naming her Princess of the Ivy. As she walked towards the Tea Room entrance, she was warmly welcomed by all passing cast members.

She waited in a short line as each princess was introduced to Rose Petal. At this initial meeting, my daughter had a crown placed on her head and was showered in rose petals. She was then escorted to her seat by another cast member. At this point, my good friend and I started giggling because it was just too cute.

Meeting Rose Petal

We were seated at our assigned table where each of our daughters received their pink sack of gifts including an 18 inch Aurora doll. The CMs served hot tea (apple juice for the girls) and presented the little girls with the cutest little pb&j tea sandwiches and fruit. For dessert the cake was a delicious vanilla cake with a raspberry icing. Meanwhile, Rose Petal was singing and storytelling all during lunch.

At the end of the lunch, the girls all gathered around Rose Petal to sing and were surprised by the appearance of Princess Aurora. Princess Aurora then visited the tables to give each girl a chance at a photo op and signed their autograph book. Once lunch was over, the girls lined up and were paraded around the Grand Floridan and took a group shot at the top of the balcony. We were, of course, conveniently located next to the gift shop, where we would enter to have their best friend certificate filled out (nice touch on Disney's part to get you to spend more money, lol!) While in the store each girl is photographed with they new 18 inch Princess Aurora doll.

The experience was so memorable that my daughter, who was three at the time, still talks about it, and we plan on doing it again this year. This character meal is probably the most expensive dining for a child at WDW, with the current cost of $333.64 per child (3 - 9) and 136.22 per adult. The price for the child is so high because of the gift package that includes:

  • A special 18-inch Princess Aurora doll dressed in a gown plus accessories

  • A princess tiara

  • A silver princess bracelet

  • A princess necklace

  • A fresh rose

  • A special princess sticker page "Best Friend" certificate for their new Princess Aurora doll

  • A princess cinch bag

Even though it was expensive, I would not trade the memories we made that day. I would absolutely recommend this dinner for any little princess.
