The Benjamin Family October 2022 Trip

How often do you go to Disney: First time as a parent

Trip Deets: October 2nd - October 9th, 2022 Family of 4: Mom, Dad, 3 year old, 8-month-old & Grandma and Auntie

The Best Part of Your Trip: EVERYTHING! Disney is more magical than I remembered! The family time was amazing; experiencing Disney through a toddler's eyes is unforgettable.

What Would You Do Different: We did 1 day at Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom, but if we had more time, I'd include Epcot and add on a second Magic Kingdom Day to end the trip. We attended MK on a MNSSHP day, so the crowd was lighter, but we didn't get to see the fireworks.

What is the Best Tip you got from Well Hello Disney:

EVERY TIP WAS THE BEST! Some highlights: - Prepare your kids for the characters - Go at your toddlers pace - Take Heat Breaks (sit-down quick service lunch or indoor attractions) - Mobile Order Food (**practice in advance) - Set realistic expectations - Use Mouse Dining to help get ADRs - Get the mickey fan from amazon - Genie+ is breeze after the first day - Animal Kingdom is not a half day park - After being there, I truly don't understand why people say it is! - "Disney is a trip, not a vacation"

Give us Your Best Disney Tip(s):

Highly recommend getting the book Mickey's Walt Disney World Adventure for little ones! It really helps prepare and excite my toddler. There are also other books for specific rides (Space Mountain, The Jungle Cruise). - I showed my toddler videos of rides I thought might scare him. - If you are using a Disney gift card - save the card number in a notepad on your phone to make mobile check out easier - We stayed off-property, so I made sure to purchase some items in advance to have some Disney magic at our hotel - If you have littles and can have a family member join you, DO IT! Having my mom and sister with us allowed my husband and me to head back to Hollywood Studios before closing and do ROTR, and we got to have a date night at Topolino's!

What was your most helpful Platform on Well Hello Disney: Instagram for the Genie+ guide and the Realistic Disney Days, but I LOVE the podcast too!

Leave Well Hello Disney a review: Jessica is absolutely amazing! Her passion for Disney really comes across and is infectious! You were so helpful in answering all of my questions and making me feel prepared, especially with Genie+...and now I'm all about Disney and planning our next trip!!

COMPLETELY OPTIONAL! We would love to hear how you saved money, your budget, and any programs you used to help reduce the cost of your trip:

I started shopping through Rakuten for cash back and used that money to purchase gift cards for extra spending money. I also purchased a few souvenir items in advance (bubble wands, stuffed Mickey and Minnie).
