Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party with Kids

Let’s dive right into planning your after party with your kids!

Get FESTIVE it's the holidays at Disney, after ALL! We had every intention of wearing Disney Christmas Pjs, but with how much rain was headed our way - we went for practical Disney Christmas Attire.

We started by making a list of TOP priorities for our family, and we had to be realistic. Since it was just my daughter and I, she wanted characters…which is my nightmare as I cannot think of anything worst than waiting in line for Characters!

That day we had an early character breakfast, went to the pool at Port Orleans French Quarter then returned to our resort to nap. I had two options - we could keep our dining reservation at Tony's for dinner or eat at the resort and get to the park early. Because of the weather, we kept Tonys at 4 pm and got to the parks just in time. Plus, it was already raining.

Top Priorities:

Meet Scrooge McDuck, Minnie, and Daisy (Luckily, they are all together)

See Stitch anywhere she can! (A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas Show)

Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade

Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show

Head to the Party around 3 pm

We got to our reservations at 4:15 pm - but they still let us in, and we had a GREAT dinner at Tony's. (I also recommend eating BEFORE you get there. You can use that time from 4 -7 pm to eat hoilday treats and get on some rides if you want to do that.)

  • Be in line to meet Donald, Scrooge, Daisy, and Minnie by 6:30 pm - It still took ONE HOUR to meet them. We got out by 7:45 pm.

  • Then we lined up for the Parade that started at 8:30 pm. But the Parade got delayed - so we went and grabbed popcorn and hot cocoa from Tomorrowland and then went to Jingle Jam, coming back to the parade spot at 9:00 pm. We sat for about 30 minutes to get a fantastic front-row spot.

  • We watched the Parade, then immediately moved to the central plaza hub and had an incredible view of the fireworks.

  • Minnies WOnderful Christmastime Fireworks started on time at 10 pm.

  • Then we headed to Tomorrowland AND GOT SO LUCKY!

    • Zero Crowd

    • My daughter was in the pre-show

    • We even finally got Snoaped!

  • I checked in with my kiddo - can she hand longer? - the answer was no. She was WET and TIRED and wanted to shop at the Emporium before we left.

  • So we went shopping - mailed our items home from the Emporium, sent Santa a letter, and headed back to the resort.

If it was not cold and rainy, she could have made it the extra hour to try more holiday treats and meet more characters if she wanted. But it was cold, and time to go! We still had a blast and grabbed some pictures along the way!

If you have any questions, DROP them in the comments!
