Walt Disney World Theme Parks and First Aid

Where Do I Find First Aid?

If you are visiting any of the Disney parks, you can find a first aid center in every park. To locate the first aid center, open your My Disney Experience app and search "First Aid" on the map. The app will show you the exact locations. If you need further assistance, any Cast Member can direct you.

  • Magic Kingdom: between Casey's Corner and the Crystal Palace, just at the corner of the hub on Main Street.

  • Epcot: The Odyssey Building, between Test Track and the Mexico pavilion

  • Hollywood Studios: To the left of the entrance as you enter the park, next to Guest Services.

  • Animal Kingdom: On Discovery Island near Creature Comforts

  • Typhoon Lagoon: Near Leaning Palms

  • Blizzard Beach: By Lottawatta Lodge

What do I do when I get there?

When you arrive at the first aid center, a nurse from AdventHealth will greet you and ask you to sign in. After that, they will take you to one of the evaluation rooms. Most of the cases we have had are minor injuries such as scrapes and bumps, for which the nurse has been able to provide band-aids, ice packs, or a place to rest for a while. They can also assist you if you have a headache or allergy issues. Once your needs are assessed, you will be sent on your way.

What Can First Aid do for you?

Over-the-counter remedies are available in single doses free of charge, but larger sizes can also be purchased. If they feel that the care you need is beyond what they can provide, they will help you determine the next steps and even assist you in getting transportation to another facility. If you are injured in the park and cannot reach the first aid center, ask a cast member for help. They will make sure that you receive the assistance you need.

VIRTUAL VISIT

When our youngest child was an infant, we noticed the symptoms of an ear infection. Due to the ongoing Covid pandemic, we didn't want to risk going to the clinic. Instead, we opted for a video visit with the doctor. The doctor was able to diagnose the infection and prescribed antibiotics for our baby, which were delivered to our doorstep. This saved us from the potential stress of having a sick baby. Within two days, our baby was back to being healthy and happy. We are grateful for the ease and convenience of the service for our family.

At Walt Disney World Resort, you can now request expert healthcare via video call through the AdventHealth app for a small fee.

Access adult and pediatric services, diagnosis and treatment for minor and urgent-care ailments, prescriptions sent to your preferred pharmacy, and live, secure video chat with an AdventHealth provider 24/7.

Download the AdventHealth app from your app store today or learn more at AdventHealth.com/video-visits.

Technical support is available at (855) 238-8791Learn more about virtual care, including cost.

How do I get my prescriptions?

Prescriptions can be sent to the nearest pharmacy of your choice. AdventHealth also offers prescription delivery services to Disney Resorts for your convenience. For more information, don't hesitate to contact the AdventHealth Experience Center at (407) 939-7480.

What Happens if I cannot go to the park?

Disney does not provide refunds for tickets, but they offer assistance in rescheduling the dates of the tickets if you need to adjust your entire trip. Simply speak to someone at Guest Relations or the front desk of the resort, and they will guide you in the right direction for your theme park tickets.

Rebooking flights and hotels can be a challenging task, especially if you don't have travel insurance. In case you have travel insurance, it is recommended to contact them immediately to discuss the options of getting a refund for your flights or cover the change fees on any plane tickets.

Magic at the Resort

While waiting for your sickness to pass, take a break and indulge in some fun activities. You can watch a Disney cartoon, order food to the room and if you are at the Grand Floridan get some room service, play cards, or simply sit on your balcony and enjoy the fresh Florida air. If you prefer to spend some quality time indoors, you can pick up a board game or deck of cards from the resort gift shop.

Most resorts offer views of fireworks, so you can find a spot outdoors and enjoy the stunning colors lighting up the sky.

If you're staying at a Magic Kingdom Resort on the Seven Seas Lagoon, don't forget to ask the front desk about the timing of the Electrical Water Pageant. You can also check the My Disney Experience app for the timings, but it's always a good idea to double-check.

Lastly, don't forget to enjoy Mickey cartoons on your TV throughout the day!

How to stay healthy at Walt Disney World

Remember to stay hydrated, wash your hands regularly, eat fruits and vegetables that are rich in vitamins, and get enough sleep. When you are tired, your body becomes more susceptible to germs and illnesses. That's why I always advise you not to go to the parks every day. Our family can only handle two rope drop days before we need a full day of rest.
