What to Do at Disney World Over Easter Weekend: Parades, Treats, and Bunny Magic

Easter at Walt Disney World 2025: Everything You Need to Know

In 2023, we spent Easter at Walt Disney World Resort, and honestly—it was the ultimate springtime trip. Not only did we celebrate Easter there, but we stayed at Disney’s Grand Floridian in a Deluxe Villa, which felt like the perfect storybook setting for a Disney-themed Easter. We made sure to experience every seasonal activity—from the Easter egg displays to the resort scavenger hunts, and it was such a sweet, joy-filled trip.

One of my favorite parts? Dressing the kids in adorable Easter outfits. When they’re little, you only get so many years to lean into the cutesy stuff, and I went all in with pastel monogrammed pieces, even their swimsuits. We wore our bunny ear Mickey ears, and I will always be a Disney ears girl. Now, let me be clear—you absolutely do not have to dress up, and no one should feel pressured to spend money on matching outfits. Just being at Walt Disney World is a huge accomplishment in itself. But if you’re looking to add a little sparkle to your trip and you’ve got some wiggle room in your budget, festive outfits can make those photos extra magical.

Surprise—we’re heading back again this Easter in 2025! This time, we’re doing a resort-only stay, so we’ll be sharing even more tips about non-park activities that still deliver the full Disney Easter experience.

Yes, Easter is one of the busiest times of year at Walt Disney World. The crowd levels are high, so if you’re heading to the parks, be sure to make the most of Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass, and my personal favorite—Standby Skipper—to help manage those long lines.

Now let’s break down everything you can do over Easter weekend at Walt Disney World, from chocolate eggs and Easter Bunny meet-and-greets to resort brunches and treats galore.

🍭 The Grand Cottage at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

The Grand Cottage at Disney’s Grand Floridian

One of the sweetest surprises during the Easter season is The Grand Cottage at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Set up in the resort’s elegant lobby, this charming pop-up shop looks like a life-sized storybook cottage and sells seasonal Easter treats made by Disney pastry chefs.

In 2023, we picked up:

  • Carrot cake cupcakes

  • Chocolate bunnies

  • Miniature Easter egg-shaped sweets

  • Coconut macaroon nests

  • And adorable Mickey-themed spring cookies

The Grand Cottage is usually open daily during Easter week and is a perfect spot to grab festive treats without ever stepping foot into a park. It's also a great alternative if you're doing a resort-only stay or taking a break from the hustle and bustle of the parks.

🌸 The Easter Parade at Magic Kingdom Park

The 2025 Easter Parade at Magic Kingdom is still TBD, but in years past, it has been a colorful and joyful pre-parade to the Festival of Fantasy Parade. Typically, this spring-themed entertainment occurs the Saturday before Easter and on Easter Sunday itself, stepping off just before Festival of Fantasy on Main Street, U.S.A.

This special parade features:

  • Springtime-inspired costumes and floral overlays

  • Elegant Victorian dancers in pastel outfits

  • Fun seasonal characters, including Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny

  • Occasionally, some rare characters join in the fun too!

Keep an eye on the My Disney Experience app or the Disney Parks Blog as Easter weekend approaches to see if the parade is returning this year.

🐰 Meet Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny

Mr. and Mrs. Bunny 2023

No Easter trip to Walt Disney World is complete without a meet-and-greet with Mr. and Mrs. Bunny themselves!

You can find them at the Liberty Square Gazebo in Magic Kingdom, near the Liberty Tree Tavern. This adorable springtime duo is decked out in their best Easter attire and is available for photos and autographs.

Tip: These meet-and-greets are not listed in the app schedule, so check with a Cast Member when you arrive at Magic Kingdom for current appearance times.

🍫 Chocolate Easter Egg Displays

One of the most beloved traditions during Easter at Walt Disney World is the display of elaborate chocolate Easter eggs—all hand-crafted by Disney pastry artists. These jaw-dropping creations are not only beautiful to look at but completely edible!

Here’s where you can find them:

  • Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa: The most famous egg display is located in the lobby, featuring large-scale, intricately designed chocolate eggs with Disney themes like Encanto, Frozen, and more.

  • Disney’s Contemporary Resort: Stop by the fourth-floor concourse to see beautiful chocolate creations.

  • Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts: These resorts often display themed eggs near the lobby area.

  • Disney’s BoardWalk Inn: While less frequent, they occasionally join in the egg display fun.

Each egg is made with chocolate, fondant, and sugar and takes days (sometimes weeks) to create.

🌼 The Egg-stravaganza Scavenger Hunt at EPCOT

EPCOT Egg Hunt

Spring is in full bloom, the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is thriving, and there's a pastel glow in the air—yes, it's Easter time at Walt Disney World! One of the most interactive Easter activities is the Egg-stravaganza Scavenger Hunt, which is part of the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival.

Here’s how it works:

  • Purchase a scavenger hunt map and sticker set for $9.99 plus tax at Disney Traders (near Mexico) or World Traveler (at International Gateway).

  • Search World Showcase for hidden Disney character Easter eggs.

  • Once complete, return your map to claim a special character-themed egg prize!

Last year, prizes included eggs featuring characters like Robin Hood, Marie, Genie, Patch, Cheshire Cat, and Dopey. This is a fun, low-key way to explore EPCOT and keep kids engaged.

🐣 Easter Brunch at Walt Disney World: Where to Eat and How to Book

If you’re headed to Walt Disney World for Easter weekend and love the idea of a delicious holiday brunch, you’re in luck! Every year, a handful of beloved Disney restaurants serve up special Easter brunch menus—but these are only available on Easter Sunday, and they go fast.

Pro tip: These Easter brunch reservations usually drop at your 60-day dining window, so if you’ve got your eye on one, book as early as you can. And if you miss out? Don’t stress. I’m a big fan of setting dining alerts (via sites like MouseDining or Stakeout) to help snag a last-minute opening.

Here’s where you can find Easter brunch around Disney World in 2025, plus a few year-round brunch spots worth checking out!

🌞 Steakhouse 71 – Disney’s Contemporary Resort

If you're looking for a modern twist on classic American comfort food, Steakhouse 71 is your spot. This retro-style restaurant is tucked inside the Contemporary Resort, and it’s the perfect place to grab brunch before or after a morning at Magic Kingdom. Expect hearty, elevated dishes like steak and eggs, fluffy pancakes, and creative cocktails.

How to get there: Hop on the monorail from Magic Kingdom or take a walking path—it’s right next door!

Ale & Compass – Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

🕢 Easter Brunch Hours: 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM (Easter Sunday only)

Ale & Compass gives serious cozy, coastal vibes and is serving up a special holiday brunch menu in place of their usual breakfast and lunch. This is a great option if you're staying near Yacht or Beach Club or want to walk over from EPCOT’s International Gateway.

Ready for a little sass with your syrup? Whispering Canyon Café is known for its fun-loving servers, bottomless skillets, and rowdy-good time. For Easter, you can expect a hearty holiday brunch in a beautiful rustic setting.

🌍 Sanaa – Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge (Kidani Village)

📍 Location: Kidani Village at Animal Kingdom Lodge

Sanaa is a hidden gem with African and Indian-inspired flavors—and while it’s not technically brunch, they’ll offer a special Easter meal that runs well into dinner hours. Don’t skip the famous Indian-style bread service!

How to get there: Take a bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge – Kidani Village (not Jambo House), or use a rideshare for faster access.

🍳 Year-Round Brunch Options at Disney Resorts

Even if you're not visiting on Easter Sunday, these brunch spots are open all year and absolutely worth a visit.

🐚 Olivia’s Café – Disney’s Old Key West Resort

📍 Location: Near Disney Springs

Olivia’s Café is a casual, laid-back restaurant with a Key West vibe and some of the best Southern brunch classics on property. Think banana bread French toast and crab cake eggs benedict.

💐 Grand Floridian Café – Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

📍 Location: Magic Kingdom Resort Area

The Grand Floridian Café is one of my favorite hidden gems. It’s elegant yet approachable and serves brunch-like dishes daily. You can’t go wrong with the lobster benedict or buttermilk chicken & waffles!

How to get there: Hop on the monorail or take a boat from Magic Kingdom.

🥂 Disney Springs: The Brunch Capital of Walt Disney World

If you’re staying off property or looking to avoid the park crowds, Disney Springs is the place for weekend brunch, all year long. Here are a few standout spots:

🛥️ The BOATHOUSE

📍 Waterfront at Disney Springs
The Captain’s Sing-Along Brunch pairs eggs benedict and steak frites with live music and a side of sunshine. It’s a vibe.

🍗 Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’

📍 The Landing, Disney Springs
Rise 'n Shine Brunch is a must-do. Fried chicken and doughnuts? Shrimp and grits? YES please. Southern comfort at its finest.

🍷 Wine Bar George

📍 Near the Lime Garage
If you like your brunch with wine pairings and cheese boards, Wine Country Brunch is an elevated (but cozy) experience.

🇮🇪 Raglan Road

📍 The Landing, Disney Springs
Rollicking Raglan Brunch brings Irish flair to your morning with live entertainment, pub fare, and loads of energy.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Mini Golf Set Up at Easter

🌷 Resort-Specific Easter Activities

In past years, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has hosted special family events during Easter weekend, including spring crafts, egg hunts, lawn games, and even surprise character appearances in their Sunday best. These experiences are typically exclusive to resort guests and take place throughout the Easter weekend. While the exact offerings for 2025 are still TBD, if you’re staying at the Grand Floridian—or any Disney resort—there’s a great way to stay in the loop.

When you check in to your resort, be sure to grab the monthly Recreation Activities Sheet (often available at the front desk, concierge, or near the lobby entrance). This colorful handout outlines all the special events, crafts, poolside games, and holiday activities happening at your resort during that month. Around Easter, you’ll often see:

  • Egg hunts or bunny hops on resort lawns

  • Easter-themed movies under the stars

  • Springtime pool parties with DJs and games

  • Seasonal crafts

  • And sometimes even resort-exclusive meet-and-greets

These activity sheets are resort-specific, so what’s happening at the Grand Floridian might be different than what’s happening at Art of Animation, Caribbean Beach, or the Polynesian. If you’re planning a resort-only Easter stay, these events can make your holiday extra magical without ever entering a park.

Pro tip: You can also ask the front desk or call ahead to request the activity sheet for your resort as your trip gets closer!

🧺 Easter Baskets at Walt Disney World

There are multiple magical ways to have an Easter Basket delivered to your room!

  1. Magical Floral and Gifts: The Easter Bunny himself has been known to partner with this official Disney florist to deliver custom-themed Easter baskets to resort rooms. Options range from sweet treats to plushes and park-themed goodies.

  2. Resort Gift Shops: Many deluxe and moderate resort gift shops offer pre-made Easter baskets for sale. These can often be found the week leading up to Easter Sunday.

Tip: Call your resort’s front desk for more information on availability or place a custom order ahead of your arrival.

🍰 Easter Treats Around the Resort

Easter delights are on the way to Walt Disney World! Disney’s culinary teams have pulled out their springtime best, and your taste buds will be jumping with joy ahead of Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025.

Every Year Disney provides a tasty eggs-travaganza, filled with sweet surprises and adorable, themed treats across the entire resort.

Here are just a few must-try items making their debut or returning this year:

  • 🐇 Bunny Burrow Dirt Cup – A brand-new offering at Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, this whimsical dessert features layers of chocolate pudding, crushed cookies, and gummy carrots topped with a chocolate bunny.

  • 🌸 Thumper Cake Bar – Found at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs, this delightful treat is inspired by everyone’s favorite bunny and perfect for spring snacking.

  • 🍬 Easter Egg Macarons – These pastel-colored beauties are back at Le Petit Café at Disney’s Riviera Resort and are a fan-favorite for a reason. Light, airy, and perfectly themed!

  • 🧁 Spring Stuff at Red Rose Taverne – Over in Disneyland Resort, this adorable dessert is back and brings Beauty and the Beast-inspired sweetness to your Easter celebration.

You’ll also find a range of seasonal goodies at:

  • Magic Kingdom: Think carrot cake, marshmallow eggs, and bunny-themed cupcakes.

  • Deluxe Resort bakeries: Especially at Grand Floridian, Contemporary, and BoardWalk Inn, where spring sweets get the royal treatment.

  • Disney Springs: Specialty chocolate, cookies, and cakes at The Ganachery, Amorette’s Patisserie, and Gideon’s Bakehouse.

For the full list of treats, check the Disney Parks Blog Foodie Guide, usually released about 2–3 weeks before the holiday weekend. These treats are available for a limited time, so if something catches your eye, be sure to grab it while it lasts!

⛪ Easter Services at Walt Disney World (TBD)

Prior to the pandemic, Easter services (Catholic and Protestant) were held in Fantasia Ballroom at Disney’s Contemporary Resort on Easter morning.

While these services have not officially returned since 2020, Christmas 2024 saw the return of on-site services, which gives us hope that Easter 2025 might bring them back. Stay tuned to Disney’s official channels or ask your resort concierge for updates as the holiday draws near.
