Storybook Dining at Artist Point with Snow White: Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Are you looking for a dining experience that is not at the Disney parks? Storybook Dining at Artist Point is a perfect dining experience to do on a rest day at the resorts. We love having options outside of the Parks because they are usually less stressful and we take our time since we do not feel the rush of getting to the next experience.

LOCATION

One of the most fun dining experiences at Walt Disney World is at Copper Creek at Wilderness Lodge. Copper Creek is a deluxe Walt Disney World Resort and happens to be one of our home resorts for Disney Vacation Club. The restaurant is located in the back of the lobby, Artist Point is decorated to resemble a forest with twinkle lights and tree branches crawling throughout the ceiling. It can have a little bit of a dark ambiance but not scary to little kids.

FOOD

The food at storybook dining is unique, and this one is important to look at the menu. The complaints that I see are usually around the food. It has things like Wild Mushroom Bisque, The experience is fantastic, but for a picky eater or someone who enjoys more simple foods, you may not en Cottage Beef Stroganoff and Slow Braised Pork Shank, which is VERY different that your typical DIsney food. We loved the food, but we also love most food. They have staples like mac and cheese for the kids. There was a “fried” chicken, but it was the worst thing we ate, and pretty over cooked. But for the cost of the meal, you should check the menu. But it's still worth it if you are going for the experience and meeting the characters.

CHARACTERS

There are four characters at this dining experience: Snow White, The Evil Queen, Dopey, and Grumpy and I cannot tell you who was the show's star because they all stole the show at some point in the dining room experience. Snow White had all my kids' hearts, but the Evil Queen stole the show. She was incredible! The kids loved her. Then you have Dopey, and Grumpy was just precious. In the middle of the meal, they stop and do a song and dance to the delight of everyone.

EXPERIENCE

Overall, this is a fun character dining experience, and the best part is that it is located at a Disney Resort. My favorite Character dining experiences are that outside of the park. Since these dining experiences can sometimes take up to 2 hours, it does not take up park time. Although, there are sometimes we scheduled character dining as a break in the middle of the day.

We highly recommend trying out Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White and her friends!!
