What is a Baby Care Center?

When I first discovered the Baby Care Center, it completely changed the game for me! But what exactly is it? Well, it's a full-service facility designed for parents with infants and toddlers (aged 5 and under). The center provides a wide range of amenities, from private nursing rooms equipped with rocking chairs and changing tables, to bathrooms and high chairs for feeding your little one. There's even a microwave, sink, and sitting area for the kids. To top it all off, each care center has a store where you can buy essentials like diapers, wipes, formula, and strollers. Whatever you need for your child, they've got you covered!

When I took my youngest child to Disney for the first time, she was exclusively breastfeeding. Which wasn't by choice; she rejected the bottle, and being my fourth child, I was surprised because my other kids did not do this. Disney thankfully allows breastfeeding anywhere in the park. However, since my baby was born during the pandemic and was used to nursing at home without a blanket this girl would rip off anything that covred her head and I did not feel comfortable breastfeeding with my top down in public. So I was thankful for the Baby Care Centers.

I had planned to visit the care center in the morning and schedule our lunch nearby. Usually, I made three trips to the care center every day. It was a pleasant relief from the heat as the care center had air conditioning. Moreover, it was a convenient and quick way for both of us to take some rest. If you have an infant with you, make sure to take breaks from the group, stay hydrated, and enjoy the downtime at the Baby Care Center.

Baby Care Centers provide parents with infants and toddlers a range of helpful amenities, besides privacy. These fully staffed centers are open during regular park hours and are free to use. Each full-service facility features:

  • A private nursing room with comfortable rocking chairs

  • A changing room with tables and a women's restroom

  • A feeding area with highchairs

  • A kitchen equipped with a microwave and sink

  • A main room with seating, a table, and a television

  • An on-site shop that sells formula, baby food, juice, diapers, wipes, sunscreen, over-the-counter medications, and clothing.

Where are Baby Care Center Located?

Magic Kingdom: Right next to Crystal Palace Buffet.

Hollywood Studios: Crossroads of the World, right when you enter the park to the left.

Animal Kingdom: Discovery Island near creature comforts.

Epcot: Pathway right before the Gran Fiesta Tour in Mexico near the EPCOT experience.

It's important to keep in mind that the Baby Centers tend to be busiest during mealtimes when the little ones are being fed and taken care of. These centers operate on a first-come, first-served basis and do not require any reservations.

Contrary to what many people believe, the Baby Centers are not just for babies and toddlers. Even young grade-schoolers can find comfort in the center after a long day at the park. Each Baby Care Center has a TV room with couches, chairs, and Disney programs to keep your kids engaged while you take care of your younger children or relax with your whole family. If the Baby Care Center is crowded, older siblings may be asked to wait outside.

Additionally, any lost children ten and younger are brought to the baby care center. For the older kiddos, head over the Guest relations.
